Cult? T.A.C.O.? N.R.M.?

Almost everyone is familiar with the word cult. It holds certain connotations in the minds of most people. Jonestown. The Moonies. Heaven's Gate. Brainwashing. Mass suicides.

There are less familiar words, phrases, etc. used to identify groups with cultish characteristics.

T.A.C.O. is an abbreviation for the term Totalistic, Aberrational, Christian Organization.
N.R.M. is New Religious Movements.

But the bottom line is that no matter which words are used to identify them, these groups are injurious and dangerous.
